Double Counter on Discord

VaultCord TeamHow we write8 min read

Double Counter is a Discord security bot. On its own site, checked November 5, 2026, the free plan includes alt checks, raid and VPN protection, three verification modes, auto-ban settings, and what it calls 20 or more settings. Pro is billed inside Discord. Those pages do not list a dollar price.

It is not a member-restore bot. The pages we opened describe flags, blocks, and bans. They do not describe adding people back onto a server. That job is what VaultCord is for, and only for people who have verified.

3Verification modes they list
10Default Pro timeout, in minutes
60Longest Pro timeout, in minutes
5Days to ask Discord for a Pro refund

Double Counter's Pro docs and FAQ, opened November 5, 2026. The 98 percent figure on their FAQ is their claim. We did not measure it. No dollar price was on the pages we opened.

What Double Counter checks

Double Counter’s homepage says it looks for alternate accounts, raids, and VPNs, proxies, Tor, and virtual machines. The FAQ says verification can run when someone joins, when they click, or as an automated screening. Their docs say a failed check, or a timeout, can kick the person.

Yes. Double Counter is free forever for the vast majority of communities. Only three minor settings are gated behind the optional Pro plan, which is billed directly through Discord.

Treat the “three minor settings” line carefully. The Pro comparison table on the same site marks more than three rows as Pro-only: an ad-free verification page, a custom embed, a custom timeout, fingerprint analytics, cross-database checks, and right-click actions. Read the table yourself before you pay. Their FAQ also says the detection rate is 98 percent. That number is theirs. We did not test it.

What stays free

On the Pro page’s table, checked the same day, these are marked as included without Pro:

CheckDouble Counter Free, per their table
Alt account detectionIncluded
Raid and VPN protectionIncluded
Three verification modesIncluded
Auto-ban configurationIncluded
Settings they count as 20 or moreIncluded
Verification pageIncluded, and they say it shows ads

Their FAQ also says you can whitelist people, review a flag, and choose a local or a global database. Confirm the current switches on doublecounter.gg before you rely on a row in this table.

What Pro adds

Pro is bought through Discord. Their docs say a direct subscription, under User Settings and then Subscriptions, includes the full set. A gifted subscription, handled by their staff, does not include every Pro feature.

The docs say a custom timeout starts at 10 minutes and can be raised to 60. Setting it under 2 minutes, or turning the custom timeout off, makes the verification links expire immediately. Fingerprinting is described as separate from the normal alt check: two accounts that share a fingerprint are, in their words, extremely likely to be the same person, and they say it is not a certainty.

A refund request for Pro goes to Discord Support, and their docs say that has to happen within 5 days of the purchase.

Where VaultCord is different

VaultCord’s alt check is narrower. It looks for another verified member on that same server who used the same IP and a different Discord account. It does not read a global device database. Shared Wi-Fi can flag two real people. The check is not on the Free plan. Blocking VPNs and cellular data is not on Free either. A captcha on the verify page is on Free. You can also set a minimum Discord account age, from 0 days up to 3,650. Zero turns that check off.

The restore side is the part Double Counter’s pages do not cover. After someone verifies, VaultCord can add them back. If nobody verified, the rooms can still be restored from a backup and the member add stops because the list is empty. Free waits 10 hours between those adds, Premium waits 1 hour, and Plus has no wait. Premium is $4.97 a month and Plus is $9.97, on the upgrade page checked November 5, 2026. Messages, up to 350 per channel, are on those paid plans and not on Free.

There is a longer head-to-head at VaultCord vs Double Counter 2026. This page is the current check of Double Counter’s own wording.

How it works

  1. 1Read their table

Alt, raid, and VPN checks are marked free. Pro is the fingerprint, the ad-free page, and the custom timeout.

  2. 2Decide the job

Join-time blocking is their product. Putting verified people back on a server is VaultCord's.

  3. 3Set the one you need

Use Discord's verification level either way. Add a paid check only for the gap Discord does not cover.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Their table marks alt, raid, and VPN checks as free.
  • Three modes: on join, on click, or automated.
  • Pro timeout is documented: 10 minutes by default, up to 60.
  • You can review flags and whitelist people, per their FAQ.
  • A Pro refund path is written down: ask Discord within 5 days.

Cons

  • The FAQ says three paid settings. The Pro table marks six rows as Pro-only.
  • No dollar price was on the pages we opened. Check Discord's subscription screen before you pay.
  • The 98 percent line is their claim, not a number we measured.
  • Their pages do not describe adding members back after a wipe.
  • A gifted Pro subscription does not include every Pro feature, by their docs.

Our verdict

Frequently asked questions

Is Double Counter free?

Their FAQ says yes for most communities, with Pro billed through Discord. Their Pro table still marks an ad-free page, custom embed, custom timeout, fingerprinting, cross-database checks, and right-click actions as Pro. Look at the table on the day you decide.

What does the timeout do?

Their docs say people who do not verify in time are kicked. The custom timer defaults to 10 minutes and can go to 60. Under 2 minutes, the verification links expire immediately.

Does VaultCord see the same alt network?

No. VaultCord looks for two Discord accounts that verified on your server from the same IP. It does not use Double Counter’s fingerprint database. Shared Wi-Fi can flag two different people.

Can either bot rebuild the member list by itself?

Double Counter’s pages we checked do not describe that. VaultCord adds only people who verified. Post the verify link first, or the list stays empty.

Where do I confirm a price?

On Discord’s subscription screen for Double Counter, because their site did not list a dollar amount on November 5, 2026. VaultCord’s prices on that date were $0, $4.97, and $9.97 on the upgrade page.
